Massy

Stone Number: NY 14

Massy was an enslaved woman at Philipsburg Manor, where enslaved women were primarily responsible for butter production in the commercial dairy. She was sold along with her unnamed child to Cornelius Van Horne on April 19, 1750. That child was probably Hendrick (NY 20), as he is the only child who does not appear in later documents.
