Phillis

Stone Number: CT 2

Phillis was purchased along with Montros in Boston in 1728 by David Naughty. Montros and Phillis were the parents of eight children who were all born into slavery.  Only one of the children, Candace, was known to have been freed.  Phillis waited thirty-three years for her freedom but died just a couple of months before it would have happened. More information on Phillis
