Town was one of at least three persons enslaved by Elijah Williams of Deerfield. Town had an account at Elijah Williams’s store in the village center. He purchased fishing line, shoe buckles, fabric and sewing items, and a mouth harp, among other items. He paid for his purchases with fox pelts, tobacco, and cash.
