Stone Number: MA 32

Coffee was one of at least three people enslaved by Elijah Williams, a store owner and the son of the Reverend John Williams. Dr. Thomas Williams’s account book records his treating Coffee for various ailments in 1762 and 1765. The account book mentions “sundry” dressings, though it is unclear what Dr. Williams was treating specifically.
