Born in 1774, Prince Freeman was the son of Jenny and Prince Freeman. Along with his parents and siblings, his name can be seen on a handwritten list of the Noyes family’s “servants” found in a Noyes family scrapbook. When he died at age 52 in the household of Dr. Richard Noyes, Judge Noyes’ grandson, Prince was remembered as “a very faithful servant.” By then he had been free for more than six years.
